Transforming lives in Burundi
Dalo Foundation transforms lives in Burundi by giving children access to education and helping communities become self-reliant through sustainable agriculture. We believe in creating lasting opportunities and a better future for children and communities.

Amina’s journey back to school
Amina, a 10-year-old girl from rural Burundi, had to drop out of school because her family couldn’t afford uniforms or books. Through Dalo Foundation’s Back-to-School Support, Amina received school supplies, a uniform, and mentoring. Today, she is thriving in her classes, dreams of becoming a teacher, and has inspired her younger siblings to stay in school.

Building a sustainable garden for the Niyonzima family
The Niyonzima family struggled with food insecurity, often going days without enough to eat. With Dalo Foundation’s Sustainable Agriculture Program, they received seeds, training, and tools to grow vegetables and beans. Within months, their harvest improved nutrition, generated extra income from selling surplus crops, and strengthened their confidence and independence.
